Joseph Schles
Joseph Schles couldn't be happier to be returning to The Nutcracker: Rated R this year! Though you may not be able to tell, due to his inability to tan, he hails from California, and has spent the last 7 years in NYC with no itch to speak of (...nothing some antibiotics couldn't fix right up anyway). In addition to performing all around with The Love Show, some favorite recent credits include - Mushroom in 'Quest of the Hero' - delighting crowds as a Cupcake Cadet for Sue Hogan's 'Unison Fetish' - and dancing in 'Choreographer's Canvas' for Marian Hyun. Big time thanks to my wonderfully supportive family and friends, Angela & David for letting me do this nutty show every year, all the casting directors in the audience for hiring me for future projects (wink wink) and to my future husband, whoever you may be, for getting that the itch thing earlier in my bio was a joke. hugs!
David F. Slone, Esq.
David is far too busy updating this website to be able to properly express his gratitude for being allowed to work with so many talented, dedicated artists. He is as pleased as can be to be back with NC:RR. David reimagined the story with Angela, and, under the monicker The Hack, remixed much of the music for the piece. Having begun his career in downtown theater in the mid-seventies, David took a brief hiatus to get an education, earning a B.A. in Philosophy and a Juris Doctorate, both from Cornell University. Since his return to New York, he has continued to perform and direct, working with such underground luminaries as Jonathan Ames, Julie Atlas Muz, Tom Murrin and David Levine. Along with his mother, performer and lyricist Bobbie Horowitz, David founded, ran and taught for The Times Square Group, bringing arts education to underserved populations in the NYC school system. His edgy, remixed arrangements of standards and show tunes have been commissioned by the likes of notorious gender illusionist, Lady Clover Honey. He produces and  often emcees The Love Show and Le Squeezebox Cabaret, and, as a singer, has shared the stage with such stars of cabaret and Broadway as Sarah Rice, Martin Vidnovic, Eric Michael Gillette and Richard Skipper. In a review, The New York Times referred to David as resembling the ghost of Pavarotti.

She went on to dance with a modern company, Coyote Dancers Co., for two seasons. She went on to perform in regional theater and Off’ B’dway houses, and in National and European tours.
